Membership
  1. Ordinary Members

    Ordinary Members shall be registered medical practitioners in any Asian country who have satisfied at least one of the following criteria:

    1. full-time training in dermatology or within the field of dermatology in an institute recognised by the Council for a period of not less than two years; or
    2. registered medical practitioners who are working in special fields related to dermatology as recognised by the Council.

    The Council Members named herein and the subscribers to the Memorandum of Association shall be the first Ordinary Members of the Association.

    Applicants for Ordinary Membership shall be proposed and seconded by two Ordinary Members with final approval by the Council. All applications shall be forwarded to the Honorary Secretary of the Association. Each Ordinary Member is required to take an active part in promoting the objects of the Association and is eligible for holding office and casting votes at all meeting of members.

  2. Associate Members
    Any person, body of persons, corporation, association, medical practitioner or scientist who is interested in dermatology or within the field of dermatology and who is not qualified to be an Ordinary Member shall be eligible to become an Associate Member on the recommendation of two Ordinary Members of the Association with final approval by the Council. All applications for Associate Membership shall be forwarded to the Honorary Secretary of the Association. Associate Members shall enjoy all the privileges of the Association except the power to hold office and they are not eligible for casting votes at meetings.

  3. Honorary Members
    Honorary Members shall be distinguished persons who have rendered notable service or made significant contribution to the Association or to the advancement of dermatology. On the recommendation of the Council they shall be elected by a majority of vote at a General Meeting. They shall enjoy all the privileges of Ordinary Members except a vote at meetings and eligibility for office.
