Hong Kong Kawasaki Disease Study Group

The Hong Kong Kawasaki Disease Study Group (HKKDSG) was formed 6 years ago and members include all paediatric cardiologists and some paediatrician interested in Kawasaki Disease (KD). Prof. Rita Sung has been elected the Hon. Secretary while I was elected to be the Convenor of the Group. There is at least one representative from each paediatric department. We have designed a checklist that is used when patient was admitted into the hospital. The checklist helps to facilitate paediatricians in monitoring, record keeping and checking all the symptoms and signs of the disease It also serves as a standardized management protocol.

The HKKDSG wishes that the HKPS Council would agree to disseminate this checklist by helping us to send this checklist to members of the Society via the next issue of the Newsletter.

Please also note that we have a surveillance registry. A Surveillance Survey form is enclosed. It would be very helpful if you would inform our HKKDSG through my secretary Mrs. Elena Tsai on Fax: 23845204 by faxing the completed form to us after you have treated a case of KD.
